A Letter from the President
April 29th, 2004
Recently I have been acting as President of VAL, so I will officially fill that office for the remainder of the year - thru September 04. By doing this, I vacate the 1st Vice President position on the Board. It is important that our Board positions are fully filled. A partial Board cannot do effective planning nor meet the necessary goals and requirements for the Visual Art League. We currently have three positions open, 1st Vice President, Secretary and Director. If we continue to have an incomplete Board, it indicates to me that there really is not the interest in our organization to perpetuate its programs.
We have challenges before us. If we are to continue those things that I believe are important to us, it will mean more people and more commitment. I am asking now as the President of VAL that each and everyone decide if you can do more…if you can recruit more members, if you can serve on the board, if you can lead a committee. Please evaluate these things and come forward to be of service.
