Visual Art League of Lewisville

“In Balance”, recent work by Balance, An Artist’s Collective, is exhibited July 31 – August 29, 2004 at the Lewisville Visual Art League Center. This show includes the works of Balance members, Neva Bothager, Belinda Compotaro, Rebecca Davis, Chris Holmes, Sally Jackson, Niema Jones, Marlys Lamar, Glenda Martin-Shirley, Mark Schley, and Deanna Wood. Past Speaker, Marie Renfro, has a show through August 22 at the Courtyard Theater of Plano. It is located at 1509 Avenue H in Plano and the hours are 8-4 weekdays, closed 12-1 for lunch. It should be an interesting show, knowing Marie, so check it out.

Alice Hofmann has been showing her paintings at the Lewisville State Bank at 191 W. Main St. in the downtown area. R’lene Winters will be showing there during the month of August.

We have a request for volunteers for snack duty next year, starting with an August volunteer. If you can provide the August meeting, contact Meg Smith at 972-539-9485. Meg will have a sign-up sheet at the August meeting for future months. Please consider signing up for a meeting to provide refreshments.
