The GLAC will be presenting the Angel Awards in November. The Angel Award is presented annually from the Greater Lewisville Arts Council to an outstanding volunteer from each art group within the Arts Council. Be sure to watch for your invitation in the mail.

Sept Asel Awards - (have pics sending separately) - Meg 1st and Mary Baker 2nd October Award - Tom Norris 1st and Jackie Haugen 2nd place (no pics available). Asel Art has been a staunch supporter of the Lewisville Visual Art League. They provide awards for our monthly Asel Art Mini-Shows. All VAL members are invited to bring a painting to the monthly meetings and enter this competition. Asel Art Supply is very generous to supply these awards. Our host has crashed, again, and our web site has been down temporarily. All our data was lost. Brandi is working with them to get something up again, after which we will be able to update our site on a regular basis.

Artisans Holiday Sale, At the Lewisville Library, December 10, 12-7pm. Richard Valentine has organized an event at the Lewisville Public Library in which VAL will participate. Fees for a portion of the space will be paid by VAL for its members to participate. This should be an opportunity to have a lot of people stop in to see our creations. Set up is between 10-12 am and take down, 7-8 pm. Tables are available, but artists will need to bring their easels for paintings. Each person selling must be available to make their sales transactions or to work together with another artist to cover each others sales. Call Richard Valentine 214-488-4856 and leave a message.
