December 3 is Holiday at the Hall Celebration. This is a City function that includes a showing of all the arts groups that Lewisville helps to fund. Participation in this event demonstrates VAL’s appreciation of the support we receive from the City of Lewisville. We plan to display our art during the celebration in Old Town. The City is planning an “Artists’ Alcove” that will include a working glassblower. They have asked for other artists to participate in a “working” format. Marci Kawalek is our representative to the Greater Lewisville Arts Council and has met with the City regarding this event. She will be bringing details to us at a later date.

Rather than a speaker, a holiday social is planned for December 6, 7pm. Come join in, we’ll have lots of fun.

The Board has reviewed the By-Laws and will be amending them so they reflect the way the organization currently operates, to update descriptions, to include operating with a gallery space, to include our use of the internet and to include our purpose and our non-profit policy. The amended By-Laws will be presented to the membership in December.

We thank all of you who have volunteered to provide refreshments at the upcoming meetings. We still have June open and need a volunteer.
