Nancy Lawrence showed her oil painting “Hill Country Cactus” in the Flower Mound Independence Fest Art Exhibit on July 4th.

Valerie Corwin won the Museum Membership Award at the Texas Artist’s Coalition Juried Member Show which opened August 6, in Forth Worth. The show runs through August 30. Valerie also sold a painting at the Oxide at Banter show at the Banter Bistro in Denton.

Dulce Reque will have an exhibition at Cafe Du Luxe from August 29 through September 30. The opening reception will be Sunday, September 18 at 3:00 pm. The address for Cafe Du Luxe is 3101 Unicorn Lake Blvd., in Denton.

Darla Bostick has had her work accepted at The Salado Wine Seller, in Salado, Texas. She will be showing four pieces consisting of watercolor and collage mixed media through October. The address of The Salado Winery Seller is 841 N. Main Street in Salado, Texas. Darla also has some of her work at the Oxide at Banter show at the Banter Bistro in Denton. The Banter runs until mid-September.

There are many volunteer opportunities available for you! Some of our volunteer jobs which are available are:

1. Exhibition and Guest Artist Schedule Coordinator.
2. Join the member show committee for Intake and Striking of shows.
3. Join the Fresh Ideas committee.
4. Further ways You Can Help
   • Sign up to gallery sit
   • Clean the gallery
   • Provide refreshments at monthly member meetings.
   • Get in the rotation to paint canvases for display in the windows at the Greater Lewisville Community Theatre
   • Help take in art and hang shows
   • Donate, etc.

Look for ways you can give and if you see a need, fill it.

Remember: VAL needs you. Many hands make light work for all!

The Fort Worth Art Dealer’s Association (FWADA) invites you to take-in the visual arts and our community’s unique cultural richness during Fall Gallery Night on Saturday, September 10, 2011.
