ZooMorphica is an art show focusing on art trading cards or art cards. The theme of the show is about living things changing into something or something changing into a living thing … ZOO-MORPHING.
Participants in ZooMorphica are diverse, from professional artists to students. LISD teachers and students from the Lewisville Learning Center and VAL members are represented in this show. I would like to thanks everyone for their contribution to this art show.. Also, thank you to Rodney Rodgers for asking me to do this show. Art trading cards (ATC’s) art miniature works of art. The only rule when doing ATC’s is their size must be 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches. ATC’s are usually done on thick paper. And when viewed from a global perspective, many themes and styles are used to create an art card. This show is reflective of some of that. The students represented in this show did a great job for this being their first attempt at ATC’s. I appreciate all the hard work Jennifer Massie, art teacher, put into the instruction and production of the art cards completed by her students. Also, I thank the Lewisville Learning Center students, too. Good job!
Every two months, VAL holds an ATC workshop (next one is on 1/12/2010). Many of the adult artists represented in this show have attended these workshops.
Thank you for visiting VAL and ZOOMORPHICA.
