Theory of Macrame

The exhibit “Theory of Macrame” is available for viewing on the VAL Gallery until January 19, 2008. View some of the pieces featured in the show.

VAL member Bill Davenport’s show, “Theory of Macramé Owls,” will feature his collection of about 150 macramé owls, many of which have been used as props for theater and television productions.

“My macramé owl collection demonstrates that the most ridiculous things are worthwhile just because someone did them, very similar in spirit, if not form, to the conceptual art of the ’60′s and ’70′s, about the time most of these owls were originally made,” he said.
