Greetings Members “On the Move”,
We as an organization are truly “On the Move”. Another first for VAL and the MCL Grand is the “On the Move” art exhibit currently showing in the north corridor of the MCL Grand. The show has been well received and it gives the casual visitor to the MCL Grand and opportunity to view and appreciate art. It has also caused people to explore the north corridor.
Members are “On the Move” showing their work all over the Metroplex and I would encourage us all to support one another by spreading the word, attending the affairs and purchasing art. Don’t forget the upcoming Angel Awards were the VAL Angel Murthy Manta will be honored.
Still “On the Move” VAL should complete the transition to the MCL Grand by the end of November. Many members have inquired has to how they can assist in the move and some have also made contributions to the move. The time is now and you will be being contacted to assist with the packing, loading, moving, cleaning, unloading and storing. With many willing workers and a plan it should not take us long to make the move.
Moving on we have a fast paced schedule with the holidays and our new location. They come with more opportunities to create and exhibit. So mark your Calendars for the ATC Workshop, Santa’s Workshop, The Old Town Plein Aire outing and Toyland exhibition; and yes, there will be more events coming.
The nomination of officers and committees is ahead of VAL which is exciting because this is now the time to consider were you would like to make your commit your time to keep VAL MOVING FORWARD!
To keep us “On the Move,” Elaine Nienkampe with the approval of the VAL Board has agreed to serve as the Interim Secretary.
Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes.
